Internet usage and particularly Multi-media content consumption continues to grows at exceptionally high rates. Content Delivery Networks (CDNs) were launched several years ago to move content closer to the edge of the networks to provide the consumer with a better internet experience. Now we have an explosion of video material traversing the networks and mobile internet usage is ramping up with better browsers and faster networks. So what does this all mean for CDNs providers and their content partners. Does the changing consumption patterns provide opportunities for new architectures and maybe new players?
